Apart from the obvious Naruto x Kita-theme all my contests have, the general theme of this contest is "Summer / Vacation". Meaning your entry should be kind of summery, or relaxed - you can work than into the entry however you wish, of course!

Entering is easy - just draw a picture of Uzumaki Naruto (aged 17-22 in my universe) and my original character, Yuunai Kita (same age as Naruto) together, and you're in. These are their ages in my fics, when they first meet and etc. though - how old they are in your entry is entirely up to you. Also, people have asked if they can submit other things than drawings - and any creative media will be permitted, really - though, no writing unless there's an image accompanying it.
Like last year, there's a max of two entries a person, just to keep it fair.

The theme and situation they're in is entirely up to you as well as long as it's got something to do with summer and/or vacation - what they're wearing, whether Naruto is Hokage and so on. As long as these two are the focus, it's all good. Profile of Kita can be found at the end of this journal entry along with references to give you an idea what she's like to help the imagination and inspiration along! You should know Naruto by now, so I believe he won't be a problem. Use the Shippuuden-aged Naruto for reference, and you can't go all wrong.

The rules and conditions are simple:
1) Both Naruto and Kita have to be in the picture and the entry has to be focused on them.

2) It's up to you if you want to picture them as just friends or as a couple - they are a couple in my universe, but if you don't agree with it and don't want to picture them as such, I can respect that.

3) No hentai (not that I mind - I just don't want to get killed XD)

4) No flame-pics - ie. no other characters attempting to kill Kita or something, and she and Naruto have to be enjoying eachother's company somewhat (mild teasing one another is okay - that's how they are).

5) The picture should be colored or at least inked - no unfinished sketches, sorry. Finished pencil/graytone pictures are okay too.

6) Only new pictures, please. You can't enter artwork you did half a year ago. XD

7) It doesn't matter whether you use traditional or digital media - just use whatever you're comfortable working with.

8) If traditional media has been used (even if it's only for sketching), winners (and possibly other contestants) may be offered the option to send the original pieces for the cost of the shipping from their country to Denmark plus a bonus.

9) All copyrights and credits of the entered artwork will still belong and go to the artists, even the winning pieces. I won't do anything with your picture unless I have your permission first.

10) Contest ends on midnight Central European Time (GMT +1), on September 5th, meaning you can still send your picture in on the 5th itself - it'll still be accepted as voting doesn't start until the next day.

11) The contest is limited to two entries per person.


If you wish to enter, just drop a note or e-mail (janni@naruto-fan.dk) with a link to the entry, and I'll display it in my journal. I'll be putting together a team consisting of 5-15 people (who haven't entered) who'll vote seperately and decide the winner, based mainly on originality and the feeling of the piece.

Deadline has been set to September 5th! On September 5th till 15th, the voting will be done and winners will be announced and contacted via note and/or e-mail to decide the delivery of their prizes.

The one to your left is wearing the outfit that Kita wore from age 5-17, the middle one is 17-22 (after she came to Konoha), and the one to the right is her look from 22 (when she marries Naruto) and onwards. She doesn't really meet Naruto until she's 17, but should you wish to draw them together as kids, it's fine.
